Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg/OB
Profession: RN (Registered Nurse)

Shift: 12-Hour Day/Night Rotate
Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week
Experience: Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
License: Active RN License
Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) required, TNCC preferred


Must-Have:
- Must have 6 months of Med Surg experience in the past year
- Must have 6 months of OB experience in the past year
- Must be willing to work in Post Partum as part of the Med Surg floor


Description:
The candidate will be expected to function independently in an acute care setting.
The role involves caring for Med Surg and OB patients.
The nurse will provide care for up to 5 patients at a time.
The nurse will float between OB and Med Surg as needed.
The typical nurse-to-patient ratio for Med Surg is 3 to 4 to 1, depending on census and acuity.
The dress code requires navy scrubs with no logos, though white can be worn under the uniform.
Training includes EPIC computer training, as well as one day of OB training and one day of Med Surg training.
Every other weekend and holiday shifts are required.
There will also be three call shifts required during the contract.
