Travel CT Tech in Smyrna, GA

This contract position requires a dependable, accountable, and cooperative professional who can provide safe, age-appropriate imaging services and uphold the department's procedures and protocols.


Schedule:

• Day shifts
• Saturday & Sunday: 8:30am - 7:00pm

Qualifications:

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
• Active ARRT-R (Radiography) and ARRT-CT (Computed Tomography) certifications
• Current BLS certification from the AHA or Red Cross
• Minimum 1 year of experience in Radiology required (less than one year in CT may be considered)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills; ability to work both independently and within a team
• Strong knowledge of patient positioning, anatomy, pathology, and radiation protection
• Proven ability to multitask and remain detail-oriented in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

• Conduct all CT imaging exams per department protocols, ensuring safety, quality, and proper patient identification
• Obtain patient's clinical history and assess for contraindicating conditions
• Administer contrast media safely and follow correct procedures for pre- and post-procedural care
• Maintain patients' dignity and comfort throughout procedures
• Evaluate CT images for diagnostic quality and release patients when appropriate
• Clean, disinfect, and check equipment functionality according to infection control and quality control protocols
• Participate in training and orientation of other staff members as needed
• Manage daily department operations including restocking supplies, documentation, and assisting colleagues
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow hospital-wide standards and compliance guidelines
