About the Role

Bark & Mane of East Denver is a local woman-owned, premium mobile pet grooming company serving Denver and surrounding communities. We provide a personalized, cage-free, one-on-one grooming experience in the convenience of our clients’ driveways.

We are seeking a talented, organized, customer-focused, and sales-minded Sales & Operations Specialist based in the U.S. to work a full- or part-time schedule. This is not simply a receptionist or scheduling role. This person will help convert leads into loyal customers, grow recurring revenue, retain existing clients, optimize daily schedules and routes, and help ensure our mobile operations run smoothly.

This position may be structured as one full-time role or two complementary part-time roles, depending on candidate strengths and availability. Pet industry experience is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities :

Sales & Customer Growth

• Respond promptly to leads by phone, text, email, and other channels.
• Educate prospective customers about services and recommend appropriate options.
• Convert inquiries into booked appointments and recurring relationships.
• Follow up with unbooked leads and help re-engage inactive customers.
• Identify appropriate opportunities for add-ons, recurring schedules, referrals, and retention.
• Support local marketing, partnerships, and community outreach.

Customer Experience & Retention

• Deliver a warm, polished, high-touch customer experience.
• Manage calls, texts, emails, appointment requests, cancellations, and questions.
• Encourage appropriate recurring grooming schedules.
• Resolve customer concerns professionally and thoughtfully.

Scheduling & Daily Operations

• Build efficient daily schedules and routes.
• Minimize unnecessary drive time and schedule gaps while supporting on-time arrivals.
• Communicate changes, delays, cancellations, and updates promptly.
• Ensure groomers have accurate customer and pet information.
• Proactively identify and help resolve operational issues.

Administrative & Performance Tracking

• Maintain accurate lead, customer, pet, and appointment records.
• Collect and maintain required forms and vaccination documentation.
• Track bookings, cancellations, recurring customers, retention, and other key performance indicators.
• Identify opportunities to improve conversion, retention, and efficiency.

What We Are Looking For:

• 2+ years in sales, customer service, operations, dispatching, scheduling, or a similar role.
• Pet industry experience strongly preferred.
• Confident, consultative sales ability without being pushy.
• Excellent written, verbal, phone, and text communication.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and time management.
• Comfort taking ownership and solving problems proactively.
• Experience with scheduling software, CRM systems, Google Workspace, Microsoft Office, or similar technology.
• Genuine love for animals and commitment to exceptional care.

Bark & Mane - Hiring Process

• A video interview within 7 business days of application
• An in-person interview with the owners (if local)
• A conditional offer letter based on a clean Criminal Background Check
• Full orientation with the owners during the first two weeks

This is a remote position.

Compensation: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
