Job Description and Duties

The Supervising Registered Nurse (Safety) Nursing Officer of the Day (NOD) is responsible for providing nursing leadership and operational oversight during evenings. In this role, it is expected that you will support nursing staff, coordinate hospital operations, and ensure delivery of safe, compassionate, high-quality patient care. Working closely with interdisciplinary teams, your vital role is creating a safe and therapeutic environment for forensic psychiatric patients while supporting the mission of DSH-Napa.

Central Nursing Services (CNS) is seeking a highly professional nursing leader who is reliable, dependable, and trustworthy with strong supervisory and decision-making skills. The ideal candidate leads with integrity, exercises sound clinical judgement, communicates effectively, and builds collaborative relationships while fostering a culture of accountability and teamwork. • You are also required to pass the Supervising Registered Nurse EX-4099 examination to obtain eligibility for the position. Please read the exam overview in its entirety before proceeding with the exam.
