Fleet Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair DPF, DEF, and SCR systems with high diagnostic accuracy.
• Utilize advanced diagnostic tools and software to identify root causes and prevent repeat failures.
• Oversee and perform preventive maintenance on fleet and equipment to reduce unplanned downtime.
• Identify trends in equipment failures and recommend corrective or preventive actions.
• Support maintenance planning and scheduling to ensure operational continuity.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of maintenance documentation and work orders.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of diesel technician experience, preferably in fleet, heavy equipment, or industrial environments.
• Advanced knowledge of diesel engines, emissions systems, hydraulics, electrical diagnostics, and air brake systems.
• Proven ability to work independently and make sound repair decisions.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL strongly preferred or willingness to obtain.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with diesel, truck troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance.
• Knowledge of welding, pneumatics, and blueprint reading.
• Experience in DOT inspection and diesel maintenance.

Work Environment

• This role requires working in outdoor and industrial shop environments with exposure to noise, grease, dust, and varying temperatures. The work schedule is 1st shift from 6:30 am to 3:30 pm.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $90000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
