Partnership & Social Media Specialist

Job Description

Position Summary: The Partnership & Social Media Specialist supports Visit Mesa’s Partnership Program and consumer marketing efforts by coordinating partner engagement, fulfilling partnership benefits, and creating and supporting social media content. This partner-facing role helps ensure a consistent, high-quality partner experience through timely communication, organized execution of contracted deliverables, and in-market content capture.

Working closely with the Director, Destination Experience and Content Marketing Manager, the Specialist serves as a key connector between Visit Mesa partners and internal teams while contributing to Visit Mesa’s content pipeline and destination storytelling.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Partnership Engagement & Supports

• Conduct regular in-market visits with partners based on partnership team priorities.
\n
• Serve as a day-to-day contact for assigned partner questions, requests, and follow-up, escalating strategic, sensitive, or revenue-related matters to the Director, Destination Experience as appropriate.
\n
• Share relevant Visit Mesa updates, gather partner feedback, and identify opportunities, needs, and potential concerns.
\n
• Manage assigned partner renewals, including outreach, follow-up, presentation of partnership performance, and identification of appropriate upsell opportunities that increase partner value and revenue. 
\n
• Maintain accurate records of partner interactions, requests, and follow-up items in the CRM.
\n
• Support partner onboarding, orientations, and training, conducted in person or virtually, by preparing materials, coordinating logistics, and following up on next steps.
\n
• Help strengthen partner satisfaction and retention through consistent communication and responsive support.
\n

  Partnership Deliverables & Fulfillment

\n
• Coordinate and track contracted partnership benefits and deliverables to help ensure accurate, timely fulfillment.
\n
• Maintain deliverable timelines, status updates, and supporting documentation.
\n
• Coordinate with internal teams, including marketing, sales, creative, and communications, to facilitate partner benefits and confirm expectations.
\n
• Serve as a liaison between assigned partners and internal teams regarding deliverable details, deadlines, and required materials.
\n
• Assist with preparing partner updates and supporting materials that communicate the value and results of Visit Mesa partnership benefits.
\n
• Identify potential fulfillment gaps or delays and communicate them promptly to the Director, Destination Experience.
\n

Content Capture & Social Media Support

\n
• Capture photo and video content during partner visits, events, and destination experiences for use across Visit Mesa marketing channels.
\n
• Assist with the development of partner-focused content that highlights Mesa businesses, experiences, events, and destination offerings.
\n
• Support social media execution by drafting and scheduling posts, monitoring comments and messages, and engaging with audiences in alignment with Visit Mesa’s voice and established guidelines.
\n
• Coordinate with the Content Marketing Manager to ensure partner-related content aligns with the content calendar, campaign priorities, and brand standards.
\n
• Organize and maintain content assets, permissions, and relevant partner information for efficient future use.
\n
• Stay current on social media trends, emerging platforms, and community engagement opportunities, sharing relevant ideas with the marketing team.
\n

Community Outreach & Cross-Functional Support

\n
• Represent Visit Mesa professionally at partner meetings, partnership events, community events, and relevant industry functions.
\n
• Support partnership events, outreach activities, and initiatives that promote partner engagement and revenue growth.
\n
• Assist with special projects and other department needs as assigned.
\n
• Help maintain the visitor center and answer incoming phone calls as needed.
\n

Qualifications

\n
• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Tourism, Business, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience may be considered.
\n
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in content marketing, digital communications, or a related field.
\n
• Hospitality, tourism, association, or economic development experience preferred.
\n
• Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills with the ability to adapt content for diverse audiences.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively in a team environment.
\n
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Teams, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite and email marketing platforms preferred.
\n
• Ability to quickly learn industry-specific platforms and emerging marketing technologies.
\n

Position Details

• Salary: $60,000 - $65,000 (DOE)
\n
• Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM, with minimal evening and weekend hours required
