Supervisor, Maintenance

Job Description

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs and/or schedules & supervises preventative maintenance, general maintenance & repair of all company property by maintenance personnel or outside contractors in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Researches, devises and implements improvements in production & fabrication processes.
• Responsible for Maintenance Dept; hiring decisions, scheduling work, performance evaluations, wage reviews and disciplinary actions, keeping proper written records.
• Ability to prioritize and analyze problems and find safe workable solutions.
• Well organized with the ability to supervise and effectively delegate projects.
• Adhere to all safety standards and practices as established by the EH&S department.

EQUIPMENT KNOWLEDGE:

• Proper use of overhead cranes, hand tools, and other equipment.
• Ability to read, use tape measure, calculator and other measurement equipment.
• Microsoft Applications
• Experience in ERP systems

ROLE REQUIREMENTS:

• Ability to work will in a fast paced environment to meet team expectations.
• Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
• Ability to understand and abide by all safety rules and regulations to perform the job.
• Must have a basic understanding of computers.
• Must be able to read blue prints.
• Ability to read and comprehend, blueprints, schematics, piping & instrumentation diagrams, and wiring diagrams.
• A High degree preferred
• A Minimum of 5 years of responsible experience in maintenance of metal fabrication & machining equipment.
• Strong communication skills.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

• The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
• The employee should be able to properly life up to 50 lbs.
