Registered Nurse (RN) - Pain Management Clinic
UVA Health University Medical Center is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses to join our team and grow within a nationally recognized academic medical center. Our Nursing Professional Governance Organization (NPGO) Clinical Career Ladder (CCL) supports individual development aligned with personal goals and demonstrated nursing practice. Clinician behaviors are behaviorally based and reflect the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics, organized within the UVA Nursing Professional Practice Model. The CCL fosters RN engagement and retention by promoting excellence, ethical practice, and continuous improvement. UVA Health University Medical Center RN job duties and responsibilities integrate the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice and the ANA Code of Ethics for Nurses with Interpretive Statements, and the UVA Nursing Professional Practice Model.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program required. Bachelor of Science in Nursing required within 5 years of hire.
- Experience: 1 year of relevant experience.
- Licensure/Certifications: Licensed to Practice as a Registered Nurse in the Commonwealth of Virginia. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Physical Demands - Job requires standing for prolonged periods, frequently traveling, bending/stooping. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs. May be exposed to chemicals, blood/body fluids and infectious disease. Compensation - New hire compensation will be determined by previous work experience, education, and/or experience. Starting Rate: $39.90/hour
Onboarding Requirements - Background checks and pre-employment health screenings will be conducted on all new hires prior to employment. All safety-sensitive positions with direct patient interaction also require a drug screen.
