Heavy-Duty Hydraulic/Diesel Diagnostic Mechanic Do you enjoy tracking down the source of a stubborn hydraulic issue? Can you shift from electrical troubleshooting to welding a bracket without missing a beat? Ready to keep essential municipal services moving? Your Impact Support uninterrupted operations for refuse collection, street sweeping, and sewer maintenance by keeping equipment safe and service-ready. Partner with teammates and supervisors through clear, timely communication. What You'll Tackle Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, diesel, and mechanical systems on municipal equipment (refuse trucks, sweepers, sewer units). Execute scheduled maintenance and preventive service to minimize breakdowns. Evaluate complex failures and recommend repair strategies and parts. Weld and fabricate parts/attachments as required for reliable repairs. Accurately document findings, labor, and parts on work orders. Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace. Assist with other shop responsibilities when needed. What You'll Need 1-3 years of hands-on experience repairing heavy or municipal equipment. Practical knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and mechanical assemblies. Competence in basic to intermediate welding and fabrication. Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving ability. Detail orientation with a strong commitment to safety. Ability to manage priorities independently and meet deadlines. Capacity to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
