\nBetsy Ross Nursing & Rehab Center is a 120-bed facility offering excellence in rehabilitation and skilled nursing care in a lovely homelike environment that recently underwent a LARGE-SCALE RENOVATION, IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT, AND ADMINISTRATION! With a focus on rehabilitation and recovery, our skilled team of therapists and healthcare professionals assist residents in achieving optimal health and well-being. Our mission is to provide high quality care to all with respect and compassion through a team approach that focuses on personalized goals. The role of the RN Supervisor is to be responsible for the operation of the nursing department and facility as well as organize and maintain staffing guidelines to meet resident needs.\n

• Relief Supervisors work as floor nurses and are designated as back ups to the RN Supervisor and may be asked to Supervise as needed on their shift.
\n
• Registered Nurse, RN utilizes the nursing process in the care of designated Residents, administers medications & treatments to residents, & documents appropriately on assigned nursing unit
\n
• Registered Nurse, RN Reports findings of ongoing observations/assessments to the designated Charge Nurse, Nursing Supervisor, &/or Unit Manager
\n
• Registered Nurse, RN demonstrates knowledge of basic test/lab collection values, deliver direct resident care consistent with the policies/procedures & Resident Bill of Rights, in combination with demonstrated clinical skills/knowledge
\n
• Identify/respond timely to patient concerns/needs
\n
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills necessary to ensure appropriate quality patient care
\n
• Registered Nurse, RN will prepare resident assignments considering the category of needs of the patient & competency of personnel, monitor/evaluate the flow of activity & delivery of patient care provided (positioning, bathing, etc.) & assure documentation records (ADLs, meal intake, etc.) are completed for CNAs
\n
• Registered Nurse, RN is punctual and/or provides proper notification for lateness or absenteeism
\n

Requirements: \n

\n
• Graduate of an approved school of nursing
\n
• Licensed & registered in good standing in New York State as an RN
\n
• Experience with geriatric patients is desirable, but not required. New grad RN welcome to apply!
\n
• Sincere desire to work with the elderly, chronically ill, & disabled
\n
• Possess a spirit of cooperation & enthusiasm to create an atmosphere conducive to rehabilitation & growth
\n
• Knowledge of medical, social, & psychological needs of residents, general nursing theory & practice, & infection prevention principles/methods
\n
• Ability to communicate well verbally with residents, families, & staff
\n
• Covid-19 vaccinations are encouraged but NOT MANDATED ; we continue to offer COVID-19 vaccination based on eligibility guidance from CDC
