About the Role
The Company is in search of a Senior Counsel to join its legal team, with a primary focus on commercial contracts and additional responsibilities in technology, privacy, regulatory, and operational legal matters. The successful candidate will be tasked with drafting, reviewing, negotiating, and managing a variety of commercial contracts, including SaaS, technology, vendor, data, licensing, and customer agreements. This role also involves providing legal support for product launches, partnerships, and other strategic initiatives, as well as advising cross-functional business teams on a wide range of legal and business issues. Applicants for the Senior Counsel position at the company must have active California Bar membership and a strong background in commercial contract drafting and negotiation. Experience in managing contracts and legal matters from inception to completion, particularly with a focus on SaaS, technology, vendor, data, licensing, and customer agreements, is essential. The role requires the ability to work closely with various business teams, including Product, Technology, Information Security, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and Executive teams, and to provide guidance on legal and business matters. The ideal candidate will also have experience with contract management software and be adept at developing and improving contract templates, playbooks, and approval workflows.
