Outpatient Physical Therapist - 13 Week Contract

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans according to the patient’s needs, goals, and physician direction. This role includes the delegation and direction of all discipline-specific therapy services, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs facilitating effective return to community activities. The Physical Therapist also serves as an educator for patients, families, students, coworkers, and themselves while performing other professional duties associated with patient care and program delivery.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients using clinical reasoning to develop appropriate treatment plans and goals.
• Complete medical record documentation clearly, accurately, and in a timely manner in accordance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure care is provided under signed, valid physician orders and insurance approval as necessary.
• Participate in a student program as assigned, providing a positive learning environment.
• Create an individualized professional development plan, pursuing professional growth through education and involvement in activities or organizations.
• Adhere to discipline-specific State Practice Act and regulatory agencies, maintaining professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and apply organizational performance improvement methodology to enhance service quality.
• Uphold safety standards and comply with clinic guidelines regarding personal appearance and attendance.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1 year of outpatient clinical experience.
• Current CPR certification.
• Active licensure as a Physical Therapist in the state where work will be performed.

Schedule

This is a 5x8.0 schedule with shifts scheduled from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
