Manager, IT Engineering — Remote 

 

GetixHealth is seeking an experienced Manager of IT Engineering to lead a multidisciplinary technology team and oversee a complex portfolio of enterprise technology initiatives.

This is a hands-on leadership position requiring someone who can operate across technology, data, software development, project delivery, quality assurance, and business operations.

The Manager will lead a team of approximately eight professionals whose functions may include product/project management, quality assurance, business analysis, technical analysis, data analysis, and report development . The role also oversees a broad portfolio of approximately 30 concurrent company initiatives , including major system implementations, telecommunications projects, reporting solutions, integrations, and other large-scale technology changes.

Team Leadership & Development

• Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary technology team of approximately eight employees.
• Establish clear priorities, performance expectations, accountability, and development plans.
• Identify skill gaps, succession needs, and professional-development opportunities.
• Balance workloads and align resources with changing business priorities.
• Build strong collaboration across engineering, software development, infrastructure, security, data, operations, vendors, and business stakeholders.

Enterprise Project & Portfolio Oversight

• Oversee approximately 30 concurrent technology initiatives with competing priorities and dependencies.
• Provide oversight for strategic technology projects with budgets of $1 million or more .
• Monitor scope, status, risks, resources, budgets, dependencies, and outcomes.
• Partner with executives and business leaders to prioritize initiatives based on business value, operational impact, risk, regulatory requirements, and available capacity.
• Translate business objectives into organized, actionable work for technical and software-development teams.
• Ensure requirements, acceptance criteria, testing plans, data needs, documentation, and implementation expectations are sufficiently defined after development begins.
• Oversee third-party vendors and hold them accountable for timelines, quality, contractual commitments, security requirements, and outcomes.

Technical & Data Leadership:

This role requires a leader with strong technical and data knowledge , not solely project-management experience.

Responsibilities include:

• Lead major system implementations, telecommunications initiatives, integrations, application enhancements, and reporting solutions.
• Apply a strong understanding of systems, data, business processes, and technical dependencies .
• Guide the development of reports, dashboards, data models, analytics, and business-intelligence solutions, including Power BI .
• Promote data quality, governance, appropriate access controls, and accurate reporting.
• Ensure solutions address scalability, reliability, cybersecurity, privacy, integration, supportability, and business continuity.
• Partner with software-engineering teams on requirements readiness, testing, releases, and production handoffs.
• Support Agile, DevSecOps, automation, CI/CD, and cloud-based services .
• Use metrics and operational data to identify bottlenecks and improve technology delivery.

Quality Assurance & Operational Readiness:

• Ensure appropriate functional, integration, regression, security, performance, and user-acceptance testing .
• Strengthen QA processes based on project complexity and risk.
• Ensure implementations include appropriate training, documentation, change management, support plans, rollback procedures, and post-launch monitoring.
• Conduct or support post-implementation reviews.
• Promote root-cause analysis and sustainable corrective actions when delivery or quality issues occur.

AI, Automation & Emerging Technology:

The Manager will also help GetixHealth evaluate practical uses of emerging technologies.

• Evaluate AI, automation, and analytics opportunities across requirements development, testing, reporting, project delivery, and team productivity.
• Ensure AI-enabled solutions include appropriate human oversight, data protection, security review, accuracy validation, and governance.
• Evaluate AI opportunities based on measurable business value rather than trends alone.
• Maintain awareness of cybersecurity threats, privacy expectations, technology regulations, and third-party risks.

Candidates should have demonstrated experience with:

• Leading technical, data, analytics, reporting, QA, product, project, or business-analysis professionals
• Managing multidisciplinary technology teams
• Data analysis, business analysis, technical analysis, information security, reporting, or related disciplines
• Managing numerous concurrent technology initiatives with shared dependencies and competing priorities
• Major technology implementations, enterprise system changes, ERP initiatives, telecommunications projects , or similar organizational transformations
• Translating business objectives into actionable technical requirements
• Project risk, resource allocation, prioritization, quality, and escalation
• Communicating complex technical issues to executives, business leaders, vendors, and technical teams
• Modern software delivery, QA, data governance, cybersecurity, cloud services, automation, and AI-enabled business tools

Specific Technical Knowledge Required:

Candidates should also bring working knowledge and experience with:

• Experience overseeing projects/programs in a healthcare and/or call-center environment
• Experience managing a portfolio of approximately 30 simultaneous initiatives or a similarly complex workload
• Power BI , enterprise reporting, data visualization, analytics, or data-management experience
• Familiarity with ERP platforms, telecommunications systems, enterprise applications, and system integrations
• Experience in regulated, security-sensitive, or data-intensive environments
• Vendor management, budgeting, contract oversight, and technology procurement experience
• Experience applying AI or automation to technology delivery, reporting, QA, or operational workflows
