Software Engineer-Secure Networks & Protocols (Associate or Experienced)

Position Overview Software Engineer – Secure Networks & Protocols (Associate or Experienced) is located in Oklahoma City, OK. The role focuses on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization, integrating software developed for KC-46 labs in Seattle into Tinker AFB labs, and ensuring seamless transition of upgrades and integration into new lab facilities. Position Responsibilities Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architecture, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems Supports the design, development, architecture, and maintenance of software solutions for network stack protocol software Assists with providing input on secure network and protocols throughout the end-to-end lifecycle development of software products Maintains and updates code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met Supports software project management and software supplier management functions Performs software research and trade studies Troubleshoots software issues Integrates commercial and Boeing-developed software into Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux operating systems Scripts to support application of security settings on Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux platforms Implements and tests software/systems using a variety of technologies, including scripting for automated testing Networks and supports Ethernet and Fiber Channel networks Administers Storage Area Network and Network Attached Storage Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) 2+ years of experience in Object Oriented Design and Programming 1+ years of experience with networks and network communication protocols (VLAN, DNS, DHCP, Firewalls, etc.) 1+ years of experience in software systems integration Experience with Linux/Unix software development environment Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science Level 3: 3+ years of related work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience Experience with engineering of large-scale systems and overall systems engineering disciplines 2+ years of experience in computing administration, including managing Microsoft Active Directory design, deployment, and operational support 1+ years of experience using PowerShell Experience working with engineering and technical data for KC-46, VC-25B, P8 or Commercial 767, 747, 737 or comparable commercial derivative aircraft platforms Experience developing training/simulation systems Experience with agile workflow tools such as JIRA Collaborative team player with a transformative mindset that takes initiative while driving quality and technical excellence Travel Less than 10% travel.
