If you enjoy hands-on work, solving mechanical challenges, and working independently while providing exceptional customer service, this is an excellent opportunity to build a rewarding career. What You'll DoAs a Field and Road (Waste & Recycling Equipment) Service Technician, you'll be responsible for servicing a variety of industrial waste-processing equipment.  ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain:CompactorsBalersConveyorsShreddersRoll -off equipmentPerform preventative maintenance inspections and scheduled service repairs.Troubleshoot and repair:Hydraulic systemsElectrical systemsPneumatic systemsMechanical componentsReplace hydraulic hoses, cylinders, motors, pumps, bearings, switches, structural components, and related parts.Perform welding and light fabrication repairs as needed.Read and interpret service manuals, blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic diagrams, and work orders.Install and commission new waste and recycling equipment.Respond to emergency service calls and equipment breakdowns.Maintain accurate service reports, inspection records, and parts documentation.Operate service vehicles, forklifts, diagnostic equipment, and tools safely.Communicate repair findings and maintenance recommendations with customers.Follow OSHA regulations and company safety procedures at all times. What We're Looking For Required QualificationsMinimum of 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, heavy equipment repair, or field service.Experience troubleshooting hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.Ability to read electrical schematics and hydraulic diagrams.Strong mechanical aptitude and independent troubleshooting skills.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Valid driver's license.Current DOT Medical Card (or ability to obtain one).Basic computer skills for service reporting and documentation.Ability to lift 50–75 pounds regularly.Ability to work in industrial environments around heavy machinery, dust, noise, grease, and moving equipment. Preferred QualificationsTechnical school education or mechanical certification.Experience servicing:Waste equipmentRecycling equipmentHeavy industrial machineryWelding and fabrication experience.Mobile field service experience.CDL is a plus. Work ScheduleMonday–Friday7:00 AM – 4:00 PM Overtime OpportunitiesWeekly overtime availablePremium pay for all hours worked over 40 hoursAdditional pay for after-hours and weekend service calls TravelThis position includes travel to customer sites using company-provided transportation.Travel may include:Local and regional customer locationsTransfer stationsRecycling facilitiesIndustrial plantsShop environments Occasional overnight travel may be required.The company provides:Hotel accommodationsMeal allowanceCompany transportation On-Call ResponsibilitiesWeekend on-call rotation requiredPremium pay for after-hours emergency service work Why Join Our Team?We value our technicians and invest in their success by providing the tools, training, and support needed to excel. We OfferCompetitive hourly payWeekly overtime opportunitiesPremium pay for after-hours and weekend serviceCompany vehicle for business travelPaid overnight accommodations and meal allowance when travelingComprehensive benefits packageOngoing technical trainingStable, year-round workSupportive team environmentOpportunities for career advancement Apply Today!If you're a hands-on technician with experience repairing hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical equipment and enjoy working in the field, we'd love to hear from you.Apply today to join a team dedicated to keeping critical waste and recycling equipment operating safely and efficiently!
