Job Title: Lab Support Specialist
Location: 200 Ballardvale Street, Wilmington, MA 01887
Work Model: Fully On-site
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
Pay Rate: $28/hour on W-2
Contract: 12+ Months
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Lab Support Specialist to support daily laboratory operations, inventory management, equipment maintenance, and vendor coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct monthly lab organization meetings.
- Manage laboratory waste streams and schedule Triumvirate waste pickups.
- Maintain chemical inventories and manage incoming chemicals.
- Order and receive lab supplies and maintain adequate inventory.
- Coordinate vendor visits, service contracts, renewals, and equipment purchases.
- Perform equipment maintenance, preventive maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting.
- Coordinate shipping, receiving, and customer visits to Wilmington Lab 360.
- Manage lab coats and learn NGS library preparation workflows to assist with manual testing.
Education Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in a science-related field.
- Previous laboratory experience preferred.
