Payroll Benefits Specialist

Job Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team and assist with payroll services for our clients. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately processing payroll, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, and providing exceptional service to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of payroll processing, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality payroll services. Responsibilities: Payroll Processing: Collect and review employee timekeeping records for accuracy and completeness. Calculate wages, deductions, and withholdings, including taxes and benefits contributions. Process payroll accurately and timely using payroll software or systems. Verify payroll reports for accuracy before finalizing and distributing to clients. Compliance and Regulations: Stay up-to-date with federal, state, and local payroll tax laws and regulations. Ensure payroll processing adheres to compliance requirements, including tax filings and reporting. Assist clients with payroll tax inquiries and provide guidance on compliance issues. Client Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding payroll-related inquiries and issues. Provide exceptional customer service and timely responses to client inquiries. Collaborate with clients to address payroll processing needs and resolve any issues or discrepancies. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate payroll records and documentation for clients. Prepare and distribute payroll reports to clients, including payroll registers, tax summaries, and employee earnings statements. Ensure confidentiality and security of payroll information in accordance with company policies and regulations. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred. Proven experience in payroll processing, preferably in a professional services environment. Strong understanding of payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Proficiency in payroll software or systems, such as ADP, Paychex, or QuickBooks Payroll. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders. Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
