The Opportunity The Law Offices of Samer Habbas & Associates, PC is seeking an empathetic, detail-orientedPre-litigation Assistant for ourPersonal Injury team. The perfect candidate for this position has a service mindset and meticulous approach to case management. This position is full-time, Monday through Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm, and will start off as remote and move into our San Francisco, CA office in the future. Experience in legal case management is required for this role. Responsibilities Create relationships with clients and guide them through the case process from intake to settlement Monitor cases by verifying client attendance; observing, evaluating and communicating treatments and responses; advocating for needed services and entitlements; obtaining additional resources; intervening in crisis; providing the utmost professional support Maintain client records by reviewing case notes, logging events and progress Communicates client progress by conducting weekly interdisciplinary meetings and evaluations Request medical records; mail, scan and track government claim forms; and manage the resolution of property damage claims Draft legal documents such as letters of representation and preservation of evidence Ensure client file is complete for demand and potential litigation Maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential Requirements Bachelor’s degree preferably in criminal justice, sociology, or related studies 2-5 years of case management (pre-litigation) experience Strong interpersonaland relationship-building capabilities Analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent telephone customer service etiquette and support, with emphasis on active listening skills Superior time management and capable to handle multiple cases and deadlinesat once Excellent communication skills (verbal, listening and written) and effective organization skills Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace CASEpeer/Filevine legal management software experience a plus Team-oriented and independently capable Maintains consistent attendance to support the team's productivity and efficiency.
