Emergency Room Nurse

Provides specialized emergency nursing care to patients in a fast-paced hospital emergency department. Responsible for delivering high-quality patient assessment, treatment, and education in compliance with healthcare standards.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patient conditions promptly upon arrival and prioritize care based on acuity.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and interpret ECG rhythms accurately during patient care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and post-discharge instructions.
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes thoroughly and accurately.

Qualifications:

• Valid Ohio license or Compact State license in hand at the time of submission.
• Minimum of 18 months of recent ER experience in a perm position prior to travel.
• Active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition and SafeMedicate assessments during orientation.
• Ability to work at least every other holiday and flexible in rotating shifts.
• References from recent managers, supervisors, or directors in the specialty within the past 12 months.
