Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides comprehensive emergency care to patients in a hospital setting, assessing, diagnosing, and managing a wide range of urgent health issues. Ensures patient safety and quality care through adherence to established protocols and standards.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver rapid assessment and treatment to patients presenting with acute medical conditions.
• Monitor patient vital signs and interpret ECG rhythms to detect life-threatening abnormalities.
• Administer medications, treatments, and interventions in accordance with physician orders and facility protocols.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans, procedures, and health maintenance.
• Document clinical assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in electronic health records.
• Maintain compliance with all certification, licensing, and travel requirements, including certifications like BLS, ACLS, and PALS.

Qualifications:

• Hold a current Ohio or compact state RN license in hand at the time of application.
• Minimum of 18 months recent ER experience, including travel experience acceptable.
• Demonstrate competency in ECG rhythm recognition and pass the SafeMedicate assessment with an acceptable score.
• Possess active certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS; TNCC preferred.
• Ability to work every other holiday, adhering to facility scheduling policies.
• Successful completion of background, drug screening, and BCI/FBI clearance within required timelines.
