Business Development Manager

Responsibilities Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the small- and medium-sized customer segment and assigned territories. Acquire new customers through prospecting, networking, referrals, industry engagement, and relationship-building activities. Reactivate inactive or dormant customer accounts and develop strategies to increase customer engagement and revenue generation. Develop and maintain a portfolio of small- and medium-sized customer accounts to support revenue growth, customer retention, and long-term business development objectives. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective customers and business opportunities. Convert qualified opportunities into active, revenue-generating customer accounts. Identify opportunities to expand services within existing and prospective customer accounts. Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective and existing customers. Conduct customer meetings and discussions to understand transportation needs, business challenges, and service requirements. Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned customer opportunities throughout the sales process. Support successful customer onboarding and implementation activities to promote a positive customer experience and repeat business. Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Sales, Marketing, or a related field preferred. 1-3 years of sales, business development, commercial, or related experience preferred. Experience building customer relationships and supporting revenue growth initiatives preferred. Experience working in a KPI-driven, goal-oriented, or customer-focused environment preferred. Familiarity with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics or similar) and pipeline management tools preferred. Transportation and logistics industry experience preferred.
