Backend Software Developer

Salary: $190,000 - 225,000 per year Requirements:

• We require fourteen years of experience as a software engineer supporting programs or contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• We require experience building backend software applications with Java, C++, or Python.
• We require experience developing and running test procedures for software components.
• We require experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
• We require experience working in an Agile software development environment.
• We require experience developing applications on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
• We require experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
• We require experience ensuring software quality through testing, debugging, and defect resolution.
• We require experience using Git for source control and version management.
• We require experience developing applications that use relational databases such as PostgreSQL and writing SQL queries.
• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field from an accredited college or university, or five additional years of software engineering experience in lieu of the degree.
• We require the ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI clearance with polygraph.

• We design, develop, test, and maintain mission-critical software applications.
• We build new software capabilities and enhance existing applications to meet evolving mission needs.
• We develop, execute, and sustain test procedures to validate functionality, reliability, and quality across the software lifecycle.
• We produce and update technical documentation.
• We participate in Agile ceremonies and work closely with software engineers, systems engineers, and government stakeholders.
• We design and implement technical solutions that support mission requirements.
• We develop backend solutions using Java, C++, or Python.
• We manage source code in Git and work with relational databases such as PostgreSQL using SQL.
• We leverage AWS services to support development and deployment.
• We use Jira and Confluence to manage work, capture technical details, and support Agile delivery.
• We perform quality control through testing, code review, defect correction, and continuous improvement.
