Role Description The Development Assistant is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Minneapolis-St. Paul Area. This position supports the development team with administrative and project coordination tasks related to fundraising, donor relations, and special events. Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining donor records, preparing correspondence and reports, scheduling meetings, and assisting with research on prospective donors and partners. The Development Assistant helps organize campaigns and events, tracks project timelines and deliverables, and supports communication efforts such as drafting emails, acknowledgements, and basic marketing materials. This role collaborates closely with internal staff and external stakeholders to ensure accurate information, timely follow-up, and smooth execution of development initiatives. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong Analytical Skills and Research abilities to manage data, donor information, and development-related reporting. Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills, including writing, editing, and interpersonal communication with diverse stakeholders. Candidates should possess solid Administrative Assistance skills, including organizing files, managing calendars, handling correspondence, and maintaining accurate records. Candidates should possess effective Project Management skills to support planning, coordination, and tracking of fundraising activities and events. Proficiency with office productivity software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, databases, email, and CRM systems) is beneficial. Experience in fundraising, nonprofit development, or customer relationship management is an advantage. Demonstrated commitment to recovery communities, Twelve Step principles, or related human services fields is preferred.
