Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pricing Manager to join the Finance team of a large professional services organization. This individual will lead strategic pricing initiatives, oversee members of the pricing team, and partner closely with senior professionals and business leaders to develop competitive and financially sound pricing strategies.

The ideal candidate will bring direct legal industry pricing experience, strong knowledge of Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs), and previous experience leading or managing others.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and evaluation of pricing strategies for new and existing client engagements.
• Partner with senior stakeholders to structure pricing arrangements that balance client requirements with financial objectives.
• Develop, evaluate, and monitor Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs).
• Build financial models to evaluate pricing scenarios, profitability, rates, and engagement economics.
• Analyze historical financial and billing data to support pricing recommendations.
• Provide firm-wide pricing support across multiple practices and business areas.
• Partner with Business Development and other internal teams on proposals, client requests, and pricing initiatives.
• Advise senior professionals on pricing strategy, rate structures, and financial considerations.
• Provide guidance and education to internal stakeholders regarding pricing strategies and alternative fee structures.
• Support engagement budgeting, financial monitoring, and performance reporting.
• Manage and develop members of the pricing team while helping prioritize workflow and projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, reporting, analytics, and overall efficiency.
• Prepare and present financial analyses and recommendations to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of legal pricing or closely related law firm financial experience.
• Direct experience developing pricing strategies within a law firm environment required.
• Previous people-management or team leadership experience required.
• Strong knowledge of Alternative Fee Arrangements (AFAs).
• Experience supporting pricing initiatives across multiple practices or business areas.
• Strong financial modeling, profitability analysis, and data analysis skills.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to translate complex financial information into clear recommendations.
• Experience working directly with attorneys, senior leadership, and Business Development teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Experience with legal financial, pricing, budgeting, or reporting systems preferred. xhyhwjd
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, Economics, or a related field required.
