Strategic Sales Advisor

Anticipated End Date: 2026-06-29 Position Title Strategic Sales Advisor Location & Schedule This role requires associates to be in‑office 1–2 days per week with additional hybrid flexibility for remote work. Overview The Strategic Sales Advisor is responsible for large group new business acquisition in the southern Ohio market, focusing on clients with 51–99 employees. Responsibilities Achieve new business targets across all lines of business through the execution of the sales process. Cultivate trust‑based relationships and develop comprehensive understandings of client needs and priorities. Act as a consultative partner with brokers, consultants, and key decision makers. Develop and implement business plans to address broker/client needs. Conduct broker, agency, and/or client education on pertinent topics. Coordinate with internal partners to meet and exceed client expectations and drive opportunities for additional growth and product sales. Continuously update knowledge of industry and products at the local, state, and federal level. Provide sales knowledge to clients and brokers and seek guidance from leadership when needed. Minimum Requirements BA/BS degree and a minimum of 2 years of sales experience; or equivalent education and experience. Sales license and appointment required as governed by state law; must be obtained by hire or within 60 days of hire. Strong analytical abilities and proficiency with CRM systems and sales technology tools. Experience interpreting claims, utilization, and financial data to support client recommendations. Vaccination against COVID‑19 and influenza required for certain roles; offer may be rescinded without an acceptable explanation. Preferred Qualifications Demonstrated success in health insurance, employee benefits, or related B2B sales environments. Experience managing and growing relationships with small to mid‑size employer groups. Strong understanding of group health insurance products, funding arrangements, benefit plan design, and regulatory requirements. Experience working with the 51–99 employee segment and collaborating with brokers, consultants, and internal cross‑functional teams. Excellent consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills. Proven ability to identify client needs, develop tailored solutions, and achieve sales and retention goals. Proficiency with CRM systems and sales technology tools; ability to interpret claims, utilization, and financial data.
