Payroll Specialist

Job TitleJob DescriptionQualifications: Work experience, leadership experience 3-5 years of experience with: Required: • Processing a multi-state biweekly payroll • Processing employee time entries • Working knowledge of SAP HR payroll systems • Basic knowledge of Federal, State & Local payroll laws Preferred: • Wage attachment experience • Year-end experience • Experience with ADP payroll vendor Additional skills: special skills / technical ability etc. • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Excel • Excellent written/verbal communication skills; ability to communicate with all levels within the organization • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadlines and be able to work under pressure • Incumbent must exhibit sensitivity to treatment of confidential informationResponsibilities: Position is responsible for accurately processing the bi-weekly payrolls. This includes preparing and processing employee changes, setting up deductions, reviewing and entering time changes, process special payroll requests and off cycles for termination pay, bonus payouts, salary increases, adjustments, etc. Perform reviews of day 1 and day 2 reports prior to payroll submission to ensure all errors have been addressed and reconciled. Research and respond to internal payroll inquiries via the Payroll mailbox and live requests. Generate adhoc reports as needed. Research and respond to internal payroll inquiries. Provide requested information to external auditors. Work closely with HR colleagues to resolve associate issues. Participate in new hire orientations. Strong emphasis on working with managers related to time keeping. Run timesheet report and send out email notification to managers for unapproved timecards. This requires supporting the managers thru meetings and emails to ensure all timesheets are completed before payroll begins.Comments/Special Instructions This person will site onsite at Financial Services in Hilliard, OH. Hybrid onsite, minimum of 2 days in the office. Pay roll experience of at least 800+ ADP/SAP is Preferred
