Job LocationGREENSBORO BROWN SUMMIT PLANTJob DescriptionWe are looking for a highly skilled and agile Senior Controls & Automation Engineer to join our Oral Care & Personal Care engineering teams at the Greensboro Brown Summit Plant. This Engineer will play a pivotal role in the design, development, and implementation of advanced control systems and automation solutions for our Oral Care & Personal Care manufacturing processes. This position requires a strong understanding of control theory, automation technologies, and the ability to integrate intelligent systems to enhance operational efficiency, product quality, and safety. The ideal candidate has a strong technical background and the curiosity to solve hard problems as you will be in a leadership role defining business priorities and developing solutions.Key Responsibilities:Control System Design: Develop and implement control strategies for manufacturing processes, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and safety.Automation Development: Design and program automation solutions using PLCs, SCADA systems, and other control technologies to streamline operations and improve productivity.Intelligent Systems Integration: Implement advanced data analytics, machine learning algorithms, and AI-driven solutions to enhance process control and decision-making.Collaborative Projects: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing, quality assurance, and maintenance, to identify automation opportunities and drive continuous improvement initiatives.System Optimization: Conduct performance analysis and troubleshooting of existing control systems, identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions.Documentation, Training, and Compliance: Prepare technical documentation, including system specifications and user manuals, while providing training and support to plant personnel on new systems and technologies. Ensure all automation systems adhere to industry standards and regulations, fostering a culture of safety in engineering practices.Job QualificationsREQUIRED:BS/MS in EngineeringProcess and/or Machine Control experienceProven expertise with sensors, motors, PLC’s, and industrial automation5+ years of professional experience with collaborating across teams/organizations10% travel required (international and domestic)Ability to work in office 5 days a week in person at our Greensboro Brown Summit Plant in North CarolinaPREFERRED:Electrical ENG degree preferredExperience with Rockwell Control Logix platformsExperience with computer and industrial networksCompensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of equal opportunity factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, degree/credentials, relevant skills, and level of experience.
