Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adults on a Med Surg Tele unit during a 12-hour night shift.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, vital signs, and clinical status; respond to alarms and escalate per protocol.
- Administer prescribed medications and IV therapies, including Cardizem and insulin drips for hyperglycemia; monitor effects and glucose levels.
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Cerner experience preferred) and communicate handoffs clearly to the next shift.
- Collaborate with the care team, including the charge/manager RN, nursing staff, and physicians; support discharge planning as appropriate.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and adherence to unit policies and procedures.

Requirements
- Active NH or Compact RN license at submission; locational eligibility for local rate within 50 miles
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience in a telemetry/Med Surg setting
- Up-to-date resume with 2 recent specialty Charge/Manager RN references
- Ability to pass a dysrhythmia exam with 80% on onboarding
- NURSYS license verification for all active RN licenses; RTO must be included at submission; Cerner EMR experience preferred
