Accountable for quality, timeliness, and efficiency of service & repair and designs. Develop complex software programs, commissioning and solving to ensure proper operations of the building control system. Provide detailed information and submittals to communicate design and operation to customers, consultants, sales and service teams and subcontractors. How You Will Do It Design, configure and service technically complex building control systems for customer facilities. Create flow diagrams, sequence of operations, bill of material, network layouts, schedules and electrical schematics as required. Develop and test software programs necessary to operate the system per customer facility requirements’ intent. Coordinate and create necessary drawings and equipment schedules for submittals, services and/or installation. Select, order, and track the delivery of materials for assigned jobs. Assist in the loading and commissioning of all system and network-level controllers as required. Assist in validation of complete system functionality and solve problems with subcontractors and other trades to ensure proper operation. Provide field change information to the team for the creation of as-built drawings and software. Keep management and JCI contractor and customer informed of job progress and issues. Assist in performing site-specific training for owner/operator on the total building control system. Participate in coordination and release meetings with sales and service operations. Perform value engineering to provide cost effective results while maintaining customer satisfaction. May provide work direction to Service Controls Technician I & Senior I and Senior II Controls Technicians. Adhere to safety standards. Maintain high regard to employee and subcontractor safety. Qualifications Required Demonstrated knowledge of HVAC industry. Knowledge of control theory, automatic temperature controls, building automation systems and other building subsystems. Experience in integration of low voltage building subsystems using industry protocols (e.g., LON, BACnet, etc.). Ability to communicate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience. Advanced computer skills, particularly drafting tools. Preferred Bachelor’s or associate’s degree in engineering and/or minimum seven (7) years’ experience. HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $36.59 - $50.29 per hour, depending on education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Includes a competitive benefits package.
