Pharmacist - Travel Job

We are hiring a licensed pharmacist for a contract position in Newark, OH at a hospital. You will use clinical expertise to ensure the safe and accurate distribution of medications, participate in medication reconciliation and discharge counseling, support antimicrobial stewardship and pharmacokinetic dosing, maintain pharmacy inventory and controlled substance documentation, and contribute to quality improvement and staff education. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current Pharmacist license for OH required.
• EPIC experience required.
• Experience with medication reconciliation for discharge medication lists required.
• Experience with antimicrobial stewardship, including interpretation of culture results and recommending therapy for common infections (UTI, pneumonia, SSTI) required.
• Experience with pharmacokinetic dosing management and anticoagulation dosing/monitoring required.
• Familiarity with federal and state pharmacy laws, controlled substance documentation, and inventory management required.
• Ability to prepare, label, and dispense sterile and non-sterile products and to maintain appropriate expiration dating and storage conditions required.
• Minimum six months of pharmacist experience preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in a hospital pharmacy environment preferred.
• Experience participating in Pharmacy & Therapeutics committees and medication use evaluations preferred.

Assignment Details

• Shift pattern: 5x8 day schedule.
• Participation in monthly inspections of pharmacy and patient care areas.
• May be required to float to other facilities as needed.
