Junior Programmer

Location: Grand Island, NE
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Starting Salary: $50,000/year

Credit Management Services, Inc. is seeking a Junior Programmer to join our software development team at our Corporate Office in Grand Island, Nebraska.

This is a great opportunity for someone early in their programming career who is looking for a long-term opportunity to gain hands-on development experience, expand their technical skills, and grow within our organization.

In this role, you will work alongside experienced developers to develop, maintain, and support business applications using the Microsoft .NET framework. You’ll gain real-world experience working with applications, databases, and business systems while continuing to strengthen your programming and problem-solving skills.

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Information Technology, or a related field preferred, or equivalent education, training, or relevant experience

• Foundational knowledge of programming concepts and software development

• Experience with .NET development through coursework, internships, personal projects, or employment preferred

• Familiarity with WinForms and VB.NET is a plus

• Basic understanding of SQL and relational database concepts

• Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus

• Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills

• Strong attention to detail

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Ability to work independently while also collaborating with a development team

• Willingness and ability to learn new technologies, programming languages, and systems

• Familiarity with Microsoft environments

• Ability to maintain confidentiality when working with sensitive business and consumer information

• Assist with the design, development, and maintenance of new and existing WinForms applications using the Microsoft .NET framework

• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code

• Work alongside experienced developers to learn existing applications, systems, and development practices

• Assist with SQL queries, databases, and application data

• Test, troubleshoot, and debug application issues

• Collaborate with team members to complete development assignments

• Support and maintain existing applications

• Learn new technologies and programming skills as business needs evolve

• Manage multiple assignments and complete work within established timelines

• Provide technical and end-user support as needed
