Highlights of the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager Role:
This role offers the chance to take ownership of major operational transformation projects (including a $30Bn CapEx budget) play a pivotal role in Genie's next phase of growth as the business invests heavily in automation & advanced manufacturing technologies, and offers a clearly defined pathway to Site Director within 3-5 years through succession planning!
The current Site Director began his career at Genie as a Manufacturing Engineer and progressed through the organisation into senior leadership. The successful candidate for this role will develop to Site Director within the next 3-5 years.

Manufacturing Engineering Leadership
- Lead, develop and mentor the Manufacturing Engineering organisation
- Build capability, succession plans and future leadership pipelines
- Create a high-performance engineering culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement
Capital Projects & Automation
- Lead the execution of major manufacturing investment programmes
- Manage and justify significant capital expenditure projects
- Partner with automation and robotics teams to deliver next-generation manufacturing solutions
- Oversee project delivery from concept through commissioning
Operational Excellence
- Drive lean manufacturing, cycle time reduction and productivity improvements
- Improve manufacturing efficiency across CNC machining, fabrication, welding, assembly, paint and vehicle production operations
- Support the development of world-class manufacturing systems and processes
