We are seeking compassionate, dependable, and motivated Direct Care Staff to join our residential team. In this role, you will provide hands-on support to adults with developmental disabilities in a group home setting. You will assist residents with daily living activities, implement individualized support plans, and promote independence, dignity, and community involvement. This is more than a caregiving position, it is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference by helping individuals build confidence, develop essential life skills, and create meaningful connections within their communities.

$1,000 Sign-On Bonus Available!

Position Details:

• Location: North Hills
• Full-Time, Part-Time and Relief positions available

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to residents by implementing individualized service plans (ISPs) and promoting social, emotional, physical, and personal well-being
• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, meal preparation, housekeeping, budgeting, shopping, and other independent living skills
• Administer and monitor medications, follow medical orders, assist with health-related needs, and maintain accurate documentation and daily charting
• Transport and accompany residents to community activities, medical appointments, and other scheduled outings
• Support individuals who may exhibit challenging behaviors, utilizing approved crisis intervention techniques and maintaining a safe, therapeutic environment
• Serve as a positive role model by communicating professionally with residents, families, staff, and external stakeholders, while participating in required trainings, meetings, and program activities

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred, not required
• Valid California driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Minimum 6 months of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, autism, or related neurodivergent populations
• Computer skills for electronic charting
• Willingness to learn and contribute to a collaborative team environment

The salary range represents the low and high end of the salary someone in this role may earn as an employee of The Help Group. Salaries will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to, professional and academic experience, certification, training, responsibilities of the position, and other business and organizational needs. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Salary decisions are dependent on the circumstances of each hire.
