Employee Benefits Specialist

Compensation $60,000 to $65,000 annual, depending on experience Role Description Client Relationship Management Support Employee Benefits Account Managers and the client relationships, including responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and advocating for clients. Benefits Administration & Systems Set up and administer employee benefits for clients and help maintain accurate records in Employee Navigator. Compliance & Regulatory Management Prepare, review, and distribute compliance documents & benefit guides (Wrap Documents, SPDs, broker compensation disclosures) and ensure ERISA, COBRA, ACA, and HIPAA compliance. Renewal & Process Management Coordinate and manage renewal processes, including tracking deadlines, preparing renewal packets, and communicating with carriers. Problem Solving & Issue Resolution Identify and resolve data discrepancies, billing errors, and claims issues; elevate complex matters as needed. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Benefits Administration and Employee Benefits to manage plan enrollments, changes, compliance, and employee communications. Candidates should possess skills in Insurance to interpret plan documents, coordinate with carriers, and support claims and coverage questions. Candidates should possess skills in Customer Service to respond to inquiries, resolve issues, and provide clear, respectful support to employers and employees. Candidates should possess skills in Account Management to build strong client relationships, track benefit plan performance, and support renewals and plan changes. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex benefit information in clear, accessible language. High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with office productivity tools and benefits/HR systems; ability to work with data and maintain accurate records. Proficiency with Employee Navigator. Experience in employee benefits, HR, or insurance is preferred; relevant certification or a degree in business, HR, or a related field is beneficial. Must have Colorado Health & Life license.
