Midnight Technician

Seeking a skilled Midnight Technician to maintain and repair machinery, support emergency response, and ensure smooth production operations during the midnight shift.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Perform maintenance and repair tasks on machinery using tools such as lathes, drill presses, metal cutting saws, grinders, and welding equipment.
• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to guide repair work.
• Obtain and maintain a lift truck license.
• Participate as a member of the plant emergency response team, completing required training including Hazwoper.
• Follow work orders accurately and use maintenance department computer systems.
• Work overtime as scheduled, including twelve-hour shifts and weekends.
• Adhere to physical requirements including lifting, climbing, balancing, and passing safety and physical tests.

Qualifications Must Have:

• Journeyman status in maintenance or equivalent experience in machine repair, millwright, or electrical fields.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Ability to use metalworking tools and demonstrate welding skills.
• Willingness and ability to complete required training and certifications including Hazwoper and lift truck licensing.

Schedule:

Midnight shift (11pm - 7am), with potential day shift training (7am - 3pm) before transitioning.

Working Conditions:

Majority of work in a production environment with occasional exposure to fumes and moderate noise levels.
