Working closely with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other members of the oncology team, you will provide compassionate, patient-centered care while ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of prescribed treatments. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients throughout their cancer care journey.ScheduleFull-time position, Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, and Friday, 7:00 AM – 12:00 PM.Hours may vary based on patient volume and departmental needs.Position based in Quincy, Illinois.Collaborative oncology environment focused on delivering high-quality cancer care and exceptional patient experiences.Primary ResponsibilitiesAdminister radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist.Accurately position patients and operate radiation therapy equipment to ensure precise treatment delivery.Review treatment plans and verify treatment parameters prior to administration.Monitor patients during treatment and respond appropriately to patient needs and concerns.Educate patients and families regarding treatment procedures, expectations, and side effect management.Maintain accurate treatment records and documentation within the electronic medical record and radiation oncology systems.Collaborate with physicians, physicists, dosimetrists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to support quality patient care.Perform quality assurance checks and follow established safety protocols and regulatory requirements.Maintain treatment equipment and report operational concerns as appropriate.Provide compassionate support to patients throughout their treatment experience.Perform other duties as assigned to support radiation oncology operations.QualificationsGraduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy program required.Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy [ARRT(T)] required.Current state licensure, if applicable, required.Current CPR certification required.Previous radiation therapy experience preferred.Strong knowledge of radiation therapy principles, patient positioning, treatment delivery, and safety practices.Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, patient-centered environment.Commitment to providing safe, high-quality, compassionate patient care.BenefitsComprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits that include healthcare navigation assistance.Access to a mental health benefit at no cost.Employer provided life and disability insurance.$5,250 Tuition Reimbursement per year.Immediate 401(k) match.40 hours paid volunteer time off.A culture committed to community engagement and social impact.Up to 12 weeks parental leave at 100% pay and a financial benefit for adoption and surrogacy for non-physician team members once eligibility requirements are met.The compensation for this role includes a base pay range of $35.17 - $52.76 per hour, with actual pay determined by factors such as skills, experience, education, certifications, geographic location, and internal equity. Additional compensation may be available through bonuses and other incentives.
