School-Based Social Worker - Champaign, Illinois

Key Qualifications:

• Master's degree in social work (MSW) from an accredited program
• Valid state licensure as a School Social Worker or readiness to obtain before start date
• Experience working in schools or with youth populations preferred
• Strong assessment, crisis intervention, and counseling skills
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, administrators, families, and community partners
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
• Organizational skills with attention to documentation and compliance

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct support, counseling, and case management to students facing academic, behavioral, or emotional challenges
• Collaborate with educational teams, offering expertise in social-emotional learning and behavioral interventions
• Conduct assessments and help develop individualized education plans (IEPs) as appropriate
• Engage families and provide resources or referrals to community services
• Implement prevention and intervention programs to support student wellbeing
• Respond to crises and participate in school-wide safety initiatives
