Security Officer

Candidate is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the patrons and employees of the property.

Essential duties and responsibilities include:

• Relaying instructions to other Security Officers
• Understanding the importance of guest safety
• Excellent communication skills
• Professional and courteous at all times
• Providing training to officers
• Ensuring compliance with all rules and regulations
• Assisting with the destruction of used cards and dice
• Escorting fills, credits, and documents
• Assisting with identifying patrons to prevent underage access
• Acting as the shift dispatcher
• Driving a property vehicle or shuttle as needed
• Other duties as assigned

Required skills and abilities include:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of experience in the security field or equivalent
• Ability to read and interpret documents
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to speak effectively before groups
• Ability to apply common sense understanding
• Intermediate PC skills
• Must obtain and maintain appropriate licensing from the Indiana Gaming Commission

Physical requirements include:

• Ability to lift up to 40lbs independently and more with assistance
• Ability to stand and sit for extended periods of time
• Strong vision skills

Work environment is fast-paced and demanding with high noise levels and exposure to smoke.
