Description:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse specializing in the Intensive Care Unit.
Candidates must possess a valid California RN License.
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
A minimum of 3 years of ICU experience is mandatory, with 4 years preferred.
The position entails working 3 shifts per week, 12 hours in duration from 07:00 to 19:30.
Weekend rotations are required.
Floating to other departments may be necessary based on patient census.
Candidates should demonstrate proficiency in various critical care skills including arterial line management, ventilator management, and care for patients with multi-system organ dysfunction.
Experience in trauma units is highly desired.
Knowledge of infection prevention and the ability to interpret arterial blood gases are essential.
Strong communication and teamwork skills are crucial for effective interdisciplinary support.
The daily patient census is approximately 30, with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 2:1.
Candidates must have a thorough work history verification for the last 7 years.
