Description:
This position is to assist with expanding hours in the Outpatient Infusion Center.
The role primarily involves assisting with infusion services for oncology patients.
Some non-oncology infusions will also be included, such as blood transfusions and injections.
The shift is Monday through Friday from 8:30 AM to 7:00 PM, with no weekend or on-call requirements.
Candidates must have experience in accessing and managing ports and administering chemotherapy.
The ability to recognize and communicate abnormal lab values is essential.
Experience with the charting system, specifically Epic, is required.
Travel experience is necessary for this position.
Candidates must be able to manage side effects of treatment and ensure proper handling of cytotoxic materials.
A strong understanding of infusion pump management and intravenous hydration is important.
