Job Description
Position Overview
The Accounting Team Lead is a remote position leading a team of accounting professionals serving high-growth businesses. The Accounting Team Lead ensures quality and timely delivery of bookkeeping and accounting services while managing client relationships and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations and team workflow
- Ensure accurate and timely financial deliverables for client portfolio
- Organize and prioritize team efforts to meet deadlines
- Implement and maintain quality control procedures
- Mentor and develop team members, including offshore staff
- Partner with clients to understand their business needs and objectives
- Communicate clearly and timely with clients and colleagues
- Drive process improvements and best practices implementation
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years accounting experience, preferably 2+ years public accounting experience at Big 4 or international firm
- Proven track record managing remote/offshore teams
- Strong project management and client communication skills
- Love for details and high-quality work
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA or MBA
- Experience with tech and SaaS companies
- Experience with GAAP audits and multi-entity accounting
- Experience with cloud accounting platforms, automation tools, Excel, and Google Suite
