Position Overview The Advanced Compensation – Senior HR Technical Analyst is a hands‑on technical leadership role focused on the Workday compensation ecosystem. The role is accountable for technical readiness, solution analysis, requirements definition, testing support, and operational stability for annual and off‑cycle compensation events, while helping mature Job Catalog and Job Profile capabilities. This position is based in Plano, Texas, and requires residence within commutable distance. Key Responsibilities Own end‑to‑end technical readiness for annual, mid‑cycle, hourly events, and off‑cycle compensation changes; ensure stable integrations and clean data flows across Workday and downstream systems. Lead issue resolution, root‑cause analysis, and defect prevention; establish regression planning, validation activities, and monitoring to improve reliability over time. Steward job architecture data; ensure Job Profiles are accurate, complete, and structured to support analytics, career architecture, skills frameworks, and compensation modeling; define data governance rules and audit processes. Serve as the lead analyst for Advanced Compensation, defining priorities, analyzing business needs, translating requirements into technical documentation, and partnering with Workday configuration and integration teams. Ensure design patterns align with enterprise standards and Workday best practices; assess upstream/downstream impacts; partner with data and reporting teams to ensure compensation and job data are accurate, timely, and usable. Coordinate testing cycles, release readiness, communications, and training support for impacted users; proactively identify risks and drive mitigation and scenario planning. Qualifications Minimum 3+ years of experience in HR Technology or HRIS. Experience supporting or leading annual compensation cycles and/or off‑cycle compensation changes in an HRIS environment. Demonstrated experience gathering requirements, writing user stories or functional requirements, supporting testing, and partnering with technical teams through delivery. Strong analytical skills, including data validation, issue investigation, and root‑cause analysis. Proven ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences and produce strong documentation. Working understanding of data privacy and access concepts for sensitive employee and compensation data. Preferred Experience Workday system experience highly preferred. Experience as a senior HR technology analyst, HRIS analyst, business systems analyst, or similar technical role in an HR or enterprise systems environment. Exposure to Job Catalog development, skills architecture, or job design frameworks. Familiarity with Workday reporting, integrations, or business process design (conceptual knowledge; hands‑on configuration).
