Job Summary:
Emergency Room (ER) Nursing - Austin, TX. This position involves providing direct nursing care in a Level IV trauma center's emergency department. The role includes implementing patient care plans, monitoring patient conditions, coordinating discharge processes, and serving as a relief charge nurse and critical response support. The facility offers 24/7 emergency care for adult and pediatric patients with a focus on stabilization and quick transfer of higher acuity cases.

Job Details:

• Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Current nursing license in the state, Nursys license verification, professional profile completion, two professional references, proficiency with Compass and Cerner electronic health record systems.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in emergency room settings, trauma certification, and certification in advanced cardiovascular life support (ACLS).
• Additional Information: The role requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work in a high-stress environment. Training as a relief Charge Nurse in the department will be provided, along with critical response support duties in the medical/surgical department.
