Job Summary

**ARRT or ARDMS Certifications Required**

• Performs optimum, safe diagnostic and screening breast ultrasound exams accurately and proficiently, following departmental protocol. Responsible for Breast Ultrasound QA program and ensuring compliance to ACR Breast Ultrasound Accreditation.
• Coordinate, review and prepare for daily ultrasound schedule.
• Notify patients of benign results as instructed by radiologist.
• Perform follow up calls to biopsy patients as needed and provide documentation on procedural progress note.
• Assist with patient workflow for diagnostic evaluations.
• Mammography Certification and experience in addition to Breast Sonography is preferred.

Requirements:

• Breast Ultrasound ARRT or ARDMS Required: American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
• American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers
• ARRT Mammography : American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and
• Mammography Certification preferred in addition to Ultrasound Certification
• BLS : Basic Life Support
• 1-2 years Breast Ultrasound experience preferred
• Has detailed knowledge of three dimensional spatial and cross-sectional anatomy and of common physiological and pathological processes.
