Registered Nurse - Night Shift - Emergency Department

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:30), with occasional 3p-3a shifts as needed. Up to every other weekend and holiday coverage is required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide critical care in a fast-paced Emergency Department that handles a diverse range of medical emergencies, including cancer, sepsis, and behavioral health issues. The facility offers specialties in cath lab, women's health, and stroke care, servicing patients of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care in emergency situations.
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and monitor patient responses.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize EPIC for patient documentation and record-keeping.
• Facilitate care for trauma, STEMI, and stroke patients effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Active RN license required at the time of submission.
• BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications required.
• Experience with EPIC charting system.
• Prior experience in STEMI and stroke facilities preferred.
