Business Operations Manager

Hybrid | Greater Boston Area | Strategic Operations Leadership Help build the operational foundation of a growing, private equity-backed organization. We're seeking a Business Operations Manager to partner directly with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) in building and scaling the operational infrastructure of a rapidly expanding Services Division. This is a high-impact role for an experienced operations professional who enjoys creating structure, driving process improvements, and implementing scalable systems that support long-term growth. Rather than managing day-to-day field operations, you'll empower operational leaders by developing the processes, documentation, training programs, reporting, and organizational systems that enable consistency and operational excellence across multiple business units and locations. What You'll Do Partner with executive leadership to develop and standardize operational processes, SOPs, policies, and best practices across the organization. Build scalable operational infrastructure that supports growth, acquisitions, and multi-site operations. Lead process improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, consistency, and operational performance. Develop and maintain training programs, onboarding processes, and workforce development initiatives. Support organizational planning, workforce forecasting, recruiting coordination, and succession planning. Assist with operational reporting, KPI development, executive presentations, and cross-functional project management. Drive fleet management initiatives, including compliance, utilization, maintenance, telematics, and long-term asset planning. Support capital asset management, equipment tracking, inventory control, and operational resource planning. Partner with leadership on EHS compliance, audit preparation, and continuous improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, or a related field. 7+ years of progressive experience in business operations, operational excellence, process improvement, or operations management. Proven success building scalable operational systems, SOPs, policies, and organizational infrastructure. Experience supporting multi-site operations and leading cross-functional initiatives. Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills. Experience within industrial services, manufacturing, construction, field services, or technical service organizations is highly preferred. Familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite and experience in private equity-backed organizations is a plus. Lean, Six Sigma, Continuous Improvement, or Project Management certifications are highly desirable. #J-18808-Ljbffr
