Practice Manager | Desert Pines Equine Medical & Surgical Center

At Desert Pines Equine, we're looking for a Practice Manager who is an exceptional communicator, naturally detail-oriented, and ready to jump in wherever support is needed. In this role, you'll work alongside our experienced Lead Veterinarian, helping ensure the practice runs smoothly while supporting our veterinarians, technicians, receptionists, and clients. Together, you'll create a positive, collaborative environment that enables our team to deliver exceptional care to every horse we treat. Desert Pines Equine is Southern Nevada’s only full-service primary care, referral and emergency equine hospital . Our seven-doctor practice provides sports medicine, surgery, internal medicine, reproduction, preventive care, ambulatory, emergency and critical care services, working as a collaborative group with a common passion for the horse. Our mission is to provide professional, high-quality, progressive medicine with compassionate care and excellent customer service for our clients and their horses. In This Role, You Will: Work collaboratively with the practice leadership team to support daily operations and drive practice growth Promote a cooperative, respectful, and team-oriented workplace culture with a client-centered approach Support bi-weekly payroll processing, including timecard approval and time off requests Oversee the full cycle of employee relations including talent acquisition and onboarding, performance management, disciplinary processes, and conflict resolution in partnership with practice leadership Develop and maintain HR policies, job descriptions, and training programs Assist in developing and managing operating budgets and monitoring financial health You’ll Thrive Here If You: Enjoy solving problems, building strong relationships, and creating an organized, collaborative workplace where people and patients can thrive Are a natural and energetic leader who thrives in a people-focused environment Have a strong background in HR and understanding of people management Are highly organized, a proactive problem-solver, and can multitask effectively in a fast-paced clinic setting Communicate clearly and professionally across all levels of the organization Have a passion for horses and veterinary care What You Bring: Strong leadership, communication, and time management skills College or university degree preferred, or equivalent experience in leadership, human resources, or operations management (equine or veterinary industry preferred) Working knowledge of payroll administration, compliance practices, and platforms Extensive knowledge of HR policies, standards, and systems. Knowledge of Sage Intacct and veterinary practice management system (HVMS) preferred The Details: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm with occasional weekend and evening availability Competitive salary and benefits including health and ancillary insurance and 401K with 3% match.
