School Speech and Language Pathologist | Calumet City, Illinois

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech-language support to students from early childhood through 8th grade. This position is based onsite in a welcoming community near Calumet City, IL, and spans the new school year from approximately August 17th through May 21st. You'll work a consistent weekly schedule of 33.75 hours, collaborating with educators and families to help students achieve their fullest communication potential. Ideal candidates possess strong clinical expertise, a deep commitment to student development, and a proactive approach to supporting the evolving needs of a diverse learning population. Your role will be integral in helping young learners gain the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically and socially. Required Qualifications Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a Speech-Language Pathologist endorsement (IDFPR) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Prior experience working with EC-8th grade students in a school setting preferred Ability to provide direct, onsite services (this role does not allow virtual work) Familiarity with union protocols and willingness to follow district interview timelines Current ISBE number (required for candidate presentation) Key Responsibilities Conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) Deliver direct therapy services to students Collaborate with teachers, caregivers, and multidisciplinary teams Maintain clear, compliant documentation and progress reporting Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to team-based interventions Experience a dynamic school environment where your expertise makes a direct difference in students lives.
