Cross Country Nurses is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Santa Monica, California. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: Labor and Delivery Discipline: RN Start Date: 09/28/2026 Duration: 18 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel Job Summary Labor and Delivery (L&D) Nurse Beachside Healthcare Facility. This role involves providing high-quality maternal and neonatal care, including fetal heart monitoring, high-risk pregnancy management, and assisting with vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections. The position offers opportunities to work in a dynamic environment serving a diverse patient population. Job Details Certifications: AWHONN Advanced or NCC Emergency Fetal Monitoring, ACLS, BLS, NRP; valid licensure in the state, and at least 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery. Schedule: 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, with coverage beginning on 09/28/2026 and ending on 02/01/2027. Responsibilities include assisting with vaginal deliveries, circulating for cesarean sections, working with high-risk antepartum patients, and providing postpartum care when needed. Must be proficient in fetal heart monitoring and high-risk pregnancy management. May be required to float to postpartum units as needed. Candidates should have experience working in an acute care hospital setting, with a caseload of approximately 200300 deliveries per month. Previous experience in labor and delivery, OB/GYN, or maternal-fetal health strongly preferred. All candidates must submit two references covering at least one year within the last three years and respond to pre-submission questions regarding prior experience at Providence facilities. RTO (Request for Time Off) must be included at the time of submission; changes after offer are unlikely to be approved.
