The person in this role will work with a variety of clients and help them with their accounting, taxes, financial reporting, and general business needs. The role is a combination of technical accounting work, client communication, problem-solving, and managing ongoing client relationships.

What You Will Do
- Manage a group of clients and serve as their main accounting contact.
- Help clients prepare for and complete their annual tax filings.
- Prepare, review, and explain financial reports.
- Look at financial information and identify problems, unusual results, or areas that could be improved.
- Help individuals and organizations understand their financial and tax responsibilities.
- Make practical suggestions that can help clients make better financial decisions.
- Work on different types of accounting, tax, and financial projects.
- Communicate with clients, answer questions, and explain financial topics in simple language.
- Work with other members of the team to complete client assignments accurately and on time.
- Keep client records and work papers organized and up to date.
- Follow applicable accounting, tax, and professional standards.
- Help improve internal processes and make day-to-day work more efficient.
The ideal candidate is an experienced accounting professional who:
- Has an active CPA license.
- Has experience working in accounting, tax, or a similar professional services environment.
- Understands basic and advanced accounting concepts.
- Can prepare and review financial statements.
- Has experience preparing and reviewing tax returns.
- Can work with different types of clients and financial situations.
- Is comfortable reviewing numbers, finding issues, and explaining what they mean.
- Can communicate complicated financial information in a way that ordinary people can understand.
- Is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple deadlines.
- Has experience with accounting or tax software and is comfortable using Excel and other computer tools.
- Can work independently while also being a strong team member.
- Takes confidentiality, honesty, and professional standards seriously.
- Is interested in continuing to learn and develop professionally.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.
- Active CPA license is required.
- Previous experience in public accounting or a similar client-focused environment is strongly preferred.
- Additional tax, accounting, or professional credentials are a plus.
